These paintings were made during my stay at The MacArthur Place Residency in Sonoma. My time there allowed me the freedom to take a slower approach to my art-making. There was a particular casualness where I had the freedom to wander their grounds and take in my surroundings that does not come often in my usual practice. It was an opportunity for quiet and undisturbed observation.
About the Artist
Adrian Kay Wong explores interpersonal dynamics and the inherent narrative elements of everyday iconography within his hard-edged representational paintings.
