There is a level of ambiguity that I often strive for in my figurative work. While the imagery may come from a specific narrative from my own experience, I find my interests lie more in capturing a potency of sentimentality; whether melancholic or comforting, I think the ability for the viewer to instill a certain emotional poignancy to the painting is quite compelling.
