This image has been floating around my studio for a very long time and it inspired several other fantasy-themed paintings. In this instance a knight is stepping on and through grounds that are inhabited by plants and unique flora. A flower with a face pleads for them to stop while being run through as well. I viewed this piece as a way to express how disposable novel and otherwordly objects can be within narratives, specifically fantasy ones. Characters will come across something incredible and it could become an item in their inventory or a one-off enemy that gets slaughtered in battle. Even though the knight is just passing through there's still a level of carelessness to not bothering to see the incredible things you are stepping on.
