The "Torn Paper Collages" are a new series of collages made by tearing painted paper into abstract shapes that eventually build a composition. We begin the process of building compositions by tearing the prepared "swatch" paper into individual elements and dropping them on paper. As the process continues, compositions begin to emerge, often referencing flowers, plants, and other nature themes.
