I started these works with leftovers from previous pieces. They remind me of actions in the past, fragments that were part of something else at a different time. Photography to me in this case makes a direct reference to painting, and it gives great importance to the corporeal. Scuff marks, folds or remnants of tape function as traces. The compositions act as an interlude of the work at the studio. The image becomes a pause and it speaks as much about time as it does about itself.
