My textile works celebrate the marginalized traditions of textile, decorative and folk arts and their inextricable association with the maternal, the domestic and the feminine. I've carried the idea of "Power Structures" in my mind as I work on this series of abstracted forms, exploring ideas of female representation, power and hierarchy.
