This painting is a diptych. In this painting I was thinking about a number of things - pulsing and fluid movements in water - the meditative action of throwing rocks off a bridge into water and watching them sink - a back and forth motion in water, like rowing a boat, and how it has a rhythm like breathing - a mountain lake that is glasslike - subtle ripples of a bug moving across the still water surface -a jellyfish Bloom, and the way jellyfish move.
