Each set of Paper Maquettes includes six unique sculptures. Fitzhugh's large steel sculptures start as small-scale cardstock mockups, and this DIY kit allows collectors to experience his maquette-building process first hand by constructing miniature versions of the six sculptures from his To and From installation, originally displayed at Sculpture by the Sea in Australia.

'To & From: Papua New Guinea' is a series of six sculptures inspired by the silhouettes of landscapes sketched from travels in Papua New Guinea. The works are titled after the specific locations where they were sketched. The full size steel sculptures were exhibited in Australia in 2021 and 2022 at Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe Beach and Bondi Beach.
About the Artist
Fitzhugh Karol is a sculptor, working in a range of materials, who is influenced by music, childhood, minimalism, as well as real and fabricated archaeological records.
