This work is part of my series 'On The Periphery,' which explores the aesthetic and utilitarian effect of architecture in and around the greater Los Angeles area. It represents my coming to terms with the city I grew up in, that's often seen as a bustling metropolis filled with cars, advertisements, and smog. I try to find solace in the quiet places, the overlooked details that lie on the edge of our daily commutes. The result is an homage to The City, combined with a hidden desire to escape to another place or perhaps another time.
