Within my oil paintings, my aim is to present viewers with a map encompassing both the fading past and the emerging present – a landscape in constant flux. The site-specific underpaintings swiftly give way to fleeting gestures of oil, only to resurface through intricately carved shapes, documenting and recalling forms. By mapping layers of physical and psychological dimensions, I invite viewers to embark on introspective journeys, discovering their own understanding of place, and engage with personal and collective histories.
