These works are a combination of pre-planning and in-the-moment intuition. I rarely know how a piece will look until it is finished. The titles are selected at random from books. I keep picking words or sentences until one 'feels right' with the work.
About the Artist
William Luz's works pull from a range of reference material collected over the years, which are abstracted, combined, and deconstructed to produce a personal visual history that is at once recognizable and new.
