I often overlap the same type of object, like a balloon, to continue making it again in slightly varying ways. Sometimes I use splatters to create depth in paintings. The splatters become the closest thing to the viewer and also nod to the paint's paint-ness.
About the Artist
Diana Delgado's paintings emphasize ambiguity and process - a paint stroke on her canvas could create a sense of rhythm as easily as it could describe the contour of an object.
