Blue has been an important color that I’ve associated with the pandemic. From Rebecca Solnit’s essays on 'The Blue of Distance' to learning how to make my own copper oxide blue drawing ink, it’s been an important color to use as my work begins to lean further towards memories and past feelings. For this print, I wanted to create a swirling sense of fluidity or movement using natural forms as a framing device.
