This piece is a study in how our eyes perceive color when the same color is presented upon different backgrounds. I wanted this piece to have a strong x and y axis, presenting us with four distinct quadrants, each different but so similar that they seem almost like they are trying to be the same.
About the Artist
Artist Arielle Zamora creates optical abstractions by carving into, and painting on, panels prepared with joint compound.
