In planning this print with Erin, I was able to get a sense of what is important to her and make that stand out in the edition. Texture, for example is a reoccurring point she has been super descriptive with lately. Chartreuse and delicate pinks play a role in opposing each other and coming together in times of neutrality. Her color scheme is a scientific balance of transparent overlays coming and going to blend in and disappear into one another yet accentuated by bold reds and and calming blues. I've had a good amount of color mixing experience and putting that together with photoshop sketches in dissecting Erin's work made a whole new chapter. Incorporating hand-painted elements create a new growth of what I can accomplish in hand pulling prints to the artist's specific desires. This was a lot of fun for me to make and very opposite of what comes naturally to the process of screen printing.
