Glasses (Home Circle - Vespertine) Langdon Graves

Langdon's oracle deck, "Home Circle", is a collection of scenes inspired by ghost stories her grandmother told her when she was young. This "Vespertine" set of hand-printed cards are available framed individually and in multiple card spreads, and also available unframed in fifteen-card decks.

Eyeglasses: Perspective, belief. The way we see is shaped and made more clear by a framework. From the time of my grandfather’s passing in 2008 until her own death in 2018, my grandmother did not move my grandfather’s eyeglasses from his nightstand. She expected their movement would indicate his attempt to return and reclaim them.

Langdon Graves creates drawings and installations that are steeped in mysticism, domesticity, and a surrealist examination of the intersection of the tangible and the unknown.
