My work explores the notions of precision and control, where I am striving for a perfection that can never be attained. As an artist, I am only as good as the tools will allow, and no matter how hard I try small errors and inconsistencies shine through. With my oil stick paintings I am embracing the looseness of the medium at times, while in other moments trying to hide it as much as I can - that dichotomy really interests me.
