The pieces in this collection all play across the x and y axis and are prompted by ideas of near-symmetry. It feels right in my brain that things should feel as if they can be folded or repeated without any significant discord. Although, as with any reflection in nature or any parabola on a graph, these paintings hold minor ripples of dissonance and reject perfection.
