The writer Julia Cameron describes a 'believing mirror' as someone who sees our potential and the potential of our work. Believing mirrors could be reflected in people, forces, or actions, such as writing morning pages. I’ve been in the morning pages habit for a few years, and find comfort, challenge, and information in the practice. When I visited the Basilica Santa Croce in Lecce, I looked up at the ceiling and saw the curved domes intersected with linear patterns that activated the surface with a subtle, sonorous tone. I felt a sacred energy of being seen and known.
